Brand

The grāmatr brand kit

Wordmark, mark, color, typography, and voice. Approved assets, hosted directly from this domain. If you're a partner, journalist, or contributor placing grāmatr in your own context — start here.

grāmatr — the full mark

Use the wordmark as the default brand expression. Built-in clear space; place against a clean background.

ḡ — the single-glyph mark

Use the ḡ mark for favicons, app icons, social avatars, and any context where the wordmark won't read. The macron carries the brand at every size.

Naming convention

"Dark" describes the background, not the font color. A -dark asset has a light wordmark intended to sit on a dark surface. A -light asset has a dark wordmark for a light surface. Pick the asset by where it's going, not by what color it is.

Clear space and don'ts

The padded wordmark and squared mark have clear space built in. Beyond that, five rules.

  • Don't recolor the wordmark or mark. Use the provided dark/light variants.
  • Don't stretch, skew, rotate, or add effects (drop shadow, glow, outline).
  • Don't set the wordmark in a typeface other than Outfit. Don't kern it.
  • Don't place the mark on a low-contrast background. If the host context is busy, use the padded wordmark or add your own surface beneath.
  • Don't drop the macron. "gramatr" without the ā is wrong every time.

How grāmatr sounds

Marketing register. Used on the website, in sales conversations, and on every public surface where the brand speaks for itself.

Declarative, sentence-case.
No exclamation marks, no emoji, no title-case headlines. The operator who built the thing, presenting it.
Dated numbers over adjectives.
"1,170 contributions per week sustained over eight weeks" beats "massive throughput."
No hedges.
Drop "likely," "we think we can," "potentially." If the claim needs a hedge, it needs different evidence.
Open with the point.
The reader knows the rest of the page exists. Lead with what changed; the why follows.
Service mark on first marketing-surface mention.
grāmatr℠ on first appearance per page. After that, plain grāmatr.
The macron is not optional.
grāmatr, not gramatr. The ā is the brand. Use ā, not a, in every running-prose mention.
